My Top 3 MMORPG Class/Job

I was trying to create new character earlier this morning but I was having a problem on what to choose. And it came into my mind what was the classes or jobs that I used to play with or take the role of it when I'm playing an MMORPG. There are 3 classes/jobs that I normally choose.

Knight/Swordsman/Warrior

Well as we all know this is the most basic job/class that a player will choose and it is easy to manipulate or to control. They have high attacks, high def and high HP/life. They can stay longer in the battlefield compared to others that needs to go back to town for some healing. Also, this jobs/classes most of the time (graphic wise) has the best gears or items with their long and huge swords or axe together with their bulky and heavy armors. It is an eye candy for gamers. This guys are called the "Tank" in a party, frontliners of the guild. They always took the most number of damage because they are hard to bring down. This is the most balance character in an MMORPG (imho).

Ranger/Archer/Scout

Do you like to take down your enemy from afar? well, this classes/jobs are your bestfriends. Able to shoot arrows, set traps, sneak attacks. Well, in some games they do not rely on Bow and Arrows only. Some can weild two daggers like an Assassin but they can do both ways. With their high agility that can dodge most of the enemies attacks, some can able to use a companion or a pet to aid them in their battle. The only downside is the lack of HP/life/defense that is why if ever they will be hit they won't last long. Controlling this kind of character needs a strategy.

Mage/Wizard/Sorcerer

Normally, I use to choose this kinds of characters later in a certain game because they are the most challenging classes/jobs in every game. They have low HP/life/defense but the good side is that they have the highest magic attack. Casting spells or magics that can blow up an entire party, can manipulate elements and use them as an offensive or defensive skills. Casting time of each spell or magic may take some time but its worth it when you see your enemies fall down after a massive energy burst through them. Using this characters really needs a companion to be able to stay longer during a clash.


Well, there you go. I did not include the healers or buffers because I'm really an offensive type user. Heals and Buff are not my type because some gamers always took them for granted and they always blame them when a party was destroyed by a mob or another party. But I also want to give credit to those that uses this kind of characters. They have the patience and skills. Kudos!

Uncharted Waters Online OBT

NetMarble already announced the Open Beta Test schedule for their game Uncharted Waters Online. I was waiting for this because I'm so excited to explore the world. What I like about this game is that it was base on reality which includes the experience of a sailor or a captain of a ship to maintain his/her crew when they are traveling by sea, trading goods to other countries, learning a countries language to be able to communicate with the NPCs, being ambushed by pirates at sea or land. I have high hopes in this game in my opinion this is a must play game of this year (2010).

10 Things Other MMORPGs Have But Uncharted Waters Online

#1 Town Portal

 

Most of recent MMORPGs stand their “infinite map size” as their one of greatest features. However, developers already acknowledge that this huge map is not preferable to users, play-wise, so this resulted in many Town Portal skills, items, or etc.
Uncharted Waters Online, however, offers players to encounter more realistic view and down-to-earth experience. There is no instant transport from Europe to India; rather UWO requires players a determination to fight against life-threatening journey. Players will be rewarded by each step they make and each sail they set.

#2 Autobots 

 

One of the highly controversy features of MMORPGs is ‘Autobots.’ Games are made for fun and they should be dynamic. However, MMORPG requires some continuous duties similar to our routinized and tedious life, and this might lead players to feel less entertaining about the game. One solution to get away this repetitive monster-hunting is to use Autobots. However, Autobots has a bad reputation because it is known to break an in-game economic system, but some game companies intentionally overlook this, covertly promote this, or even publically sell this as their paid item. Uncharted Waters Online respects a sophisticated economic system, and there is no way to run Autobots. Economic system of UWO is sorely built by players’ activities, at least until now.

#3 Health Point (HP)

 

Upper left corner of most of MMORPGs is occupied with HP and MP bars. Players only have the control over their single avatar that representing your-self.
However, UWO players operate more dynamic controls over their Ships, Sailors, and Vigour that is similar to the combination of MP and HP. During the sail, a player will act as a captain who has a full control navigating the ocean. This might be confusing at the beginning, but this makes players to adopt a tactical strategy and carry out attention-grabbing game play.

Pirate's Eye Patch

Have you ever wondered why most pirate captains or crews have an eye patch? Well I do, so I searched for some information and while I’m looking for valid reason I came across a joke thread which I was intrigue because the topic starter said the he already found the reason of pirates wearing an eye patch. Here’s what he posted in his thread:

A pirate captain walks into a bar and the bartender says, "Hey, I haven't seen you in a while. What happened, you look terrible!"

"What do you mean?" the pirate captain replies, "I'm fine."

The bartender says, "But what about that wooden leg? You didn't have that before."

"Well," says the pirate captain, "We were in a battle at sea and a cannon ball hit my leg but the surgeon fixed me up, and I'm fine, really."

"Yeah," says the bartender, "But what about that hook? Last time I saw you, you had both hands."

"Well," says the pirate captain, "We were in another battle and we boarded the enemy ship. I was in a sword fight and my hand was cut off but the surgeon fixed me up with this hook, and I feel great, really."

"Oh," says the bartender, "What about that eye patch? Last time you were in here you had both eyes."

"Well," says the pirate captain, "One day when we were at sea, my parrot flew above me. I looked up, then suddenly he dropped a crap on my eye."

"So?" replied the bartender, "what happened? You couldn't have lost an eye just from some bird crap!"

"Well," says the pirate captain, "I really wasn't used with the hook yet."  

I laughed hard after reading it. Until now while I’m writing this one I can’t still erase the big smile on my face. I hope this will make your day because it made mine.

Geek Mind Extra

Found a cool mini-game earlier this morning. I was like browsing and I saw this from a forum site.

The title of the game is Geek Mind Extra. It was created by DOM2D. However, the creator had a site before but when I visited it today. He said that he already transferred his game through Kongregate because He will be closing his site because of badwidth issues.

Basically, The game will test your gaming knowledge from all gaming platforms like PC, XBOX, PlayStation, SNES, SEGA, and more. The mechanics of the game is to guess as many games as you can before the time runs out (60 seconds). For every correct answer you will gain 10 seconds. Each correct answer will give points starting from 200 at first levels when you reach a certain score the difficulty will be increase and you will gain more points once your answer is correct. If ever you are stuck and doesn't know the title of the game there is a "Skip" button that you can use but it will deduct 25 points on your total score.

This game is simple but very entertaining. However, I find it repetitive sometimes when you actually played the game for several times you can memorize the answers instantly but from the looks of it. The creator already added some new levels. I'll give credit for the creator doing this kind of game. Well, since I don't know how to create one. :)

This is MTV 2010!!!

Everyone is waiting for this on different sites. Everybody is thrilled to see the whole video of the said event. I, myself, waited for this and the first thing I did was to look at the best dresses. Of course! fashion comes first on my list. ^_^ It was exciting. Though I was a bit disappointed because of the year's fashion statement of those artists in the award's night, Lady Gaga didn't fail to surprise me..

Besides perfume, I also have weakness on shoes. I took some pictures from MTV sites. These is what I like about MTV awards. YEAH!!!

This is gross!
I must admit that this is a very fascinating and shocking fashion of the year. I would totally appreciate the whole aspect of the fashion if it wasn't a real meat. But when I found out that this was made with a real matambre, there is no doubt that this fashion is gross.

My mom always tells me that I'm a very meticulous type of person. I become stagy in every situation and events. Sometimes I'm trying to control such characteristics and I'm learning to accept things I used to reject when it didn't pass my taste. When it comes to food, I grew as a person knowing that all I can eat was meat. Then I had hematochezia so I was pushed to eat vegetables and fruits. Well, I learned to enjoy my decision of eating those. Aside from eating meat, veggies, or fruits, society cannot hide the fact that there are other uncommon or rare foods that we eat. I made a list of exotic foods I had eaten and those that I will never attempt of tasting.

Well, I can still eat these, what they call, the "street food". It's delicious and you can even partner it with beer. If you see an actual process of making an isaw, you will know why it is exotic and dirty. People should be reminded that uncleaned intestine will result to hepatitis.

Every country in Uncharted Waters Online has its story. And for Netherlands, they want peace. They want to bring back their country from Spain to their people. That can only happen if we successfully finish all the mission / quest.
